About K Sherwin Consulting

My Story

I started K Sherwin Consulting 16 years ago because I wanted to offer organisations a personal, practical, and human approach to understanding and developing their people. I’ve always believed that when people feel understood, supported, and equipped, they can do their best work — and creating my own practice allowed me to bring that philosophy to life.

I began my career in consulting working for a large international firm. Those early years gave me a strong grounding in objective assessment, talent development, and the realities of organisational life. Over the past 25 years, I’ve built on that foundation by partnering with organisations of all sizes, across both public and private sectors, in New Zealand and internationally. This breadth of experience has shaped a practical, evidence‑based approach that leaders and teams can easily apply.

Today, K Sherwin Consulting brings together everything I value: robust assessment, practical coaching, thoughtful facilitation, and a commitment to helping people and organisations thrive. Whether I’m supporting a leader, a team, or an entire organisation, my focus is always on creating clarity, building capability, and enabling meaningful progress.

My family and I live in Wellington, and I have a real appreciation for the challenges many people face in integrating work, life, and family. This perspective deeply informs the way I coach and support others — with empathy, realism, and a genuine respect for the whole person.
